DEI…authentically

I received a wonderful article in a newsletter last month, and I thought you might enjoy it as well. The topic is on doing DEI work authentically — which is the only way it really can be done! The writers not only included the usual idea of including visuals of a diversity of people who work in your organization (and who are served by it) but also suggestions on:

  • thinking about your suppliers, vendors, and distributors,

  • highlighting local businesses in your community that are owned by an underrepresented party (perhaps a supplier, vendor, or distributor!),

  • considering whether a land acknowledgment is appropriate, and

  • acting on your values.

Enjoy!
